The Cell Theory
The Building Blocks of Life
The cell theory is a fundamental principle in biology. It states three main things:
- All living organisms are composed of one or more cells.
- The cell is the basic unit of structure and organization in organisms.
- Cells arise from pre-existing cells.
This means that everything that is alive, from the smallest bacterium to the largest whale, is made of cells. These tiny structures are the foundation of all life on Earth.
